About us

About Copperleaf

A halal-certified restaurant in Geneva’s Pâquis bringing together the flavours of India, Goa and Africa.

Our story

Three culinary traditions, one Geneva kitchen

Copperleaf was created for people who love bold, generous food and warm hospitality. Our menu travels from the charcoal tandoors of North India to the coconut-rich coast of Goa and on to the grills and stews of East and West Africa — cuisines connected for centuries by the spice routes of the Indian Ocean.

Every dish is prepared fresh in our kitchen on Rue du Docteur-Alfred-Vincent, and our entire menu is halal-certified, so everyone at the table can order with confidence. Dishes are described in both French and English, and our team is always happy to guide you through spice levels and dietary needs.

What makes us different

Why guests choose Copperleaf

100% halal-certified

All meat and poultry on our menu is halal-certified — no exceptions, no separate list to check.

Real charcoal tandoor

Tikkas, kebabs and every naan are cooked to order in a traditional clay oven for that smoky char.

India, Goa & Africa

Rare in Geneva: Goan xacuti and vindaloo alongside nyama choma and poulet yassa.

Bilingual menu

Every dish is described in French and English, with vegetarian and spice markers.

Our cuisines

From the tandoor to the Goan coast and Africa

Indian

Our North and South Indian dishes are built on slow-cooked sauces and fresh spices: butter chicken, chicken korma, lamb rogan josh, Madras curries, Hyderabadi and Bombay biryanis, plus tandoori grills such as chicken malai tikka, lamb seekh kebab and salmon tikka.

Goan

Goa’s cooking blends Indian spice with Portuguese heritage — coconut, tamarind, vinegar and seafood. Try chicken xacuti, Goan fish curry with sea bream, prawns rawa fry or a fiery vindaloo. Read more about Goan food.

African

Our African menu celebrates grilling and comforting stews: East African nyama choma, Senegalese poulet yassa, peri-peri jumbo prawns, whole grilled sea bream and coconut red beans, with fried banana or ugali on the side. Discover our African dishes.
